Summer 2025 in Pictures

This was a milestone year for KHSS with a new name, new uniforms, the introduction of girls into year 7, and new values all underpinned by the same ethos; to provide an inclusive, high-quality education for all students in the Kings Heath area and beyond.

As such the summer term provided many opportunities to look back over the staff and student accomplishments and how our Kings Heath Values were woven into every aspect of school life. We have had an excellent year and will continue to Raise the Bar together in September.
Belonging
A highlight of this term was our 'Picnic in the Park' afternoon. We took this opportunity to celebrate our girls for their first year with us and a successful integration into the KHSS community. It was filled with fun activities, games and delicious treats, thank you to Ms Roy and her team for their planning and hardwork.
Belonging was also expressed and rewarded in a many other ways including a drama workshop & performance led by the Birmingham Repertory Theatre, behaviour & attendance rewards, and the introduction of Anti-Bullying Ambassadors.

Aspiration
Our students had the opportunity to shine in a wide variety of areas from academics, to creative arts, to sports this term. KHSS staff also provided plenty of opportunities for learning outside the classroom with activities such as Oracy & Drone workshops and more.

Respect
This term KHSS students were able to explore the value of respect among different religions and even towards our animal friends.
The summer term always provides excellent opportunities for looking back over the year and recognising the hard work of our students, especially those who have consistently displayed our Kings Heath Values, and this year was no different. The Year 11 Leaver's Celebration and Celebration Evening were fantastic opportunities to do that.
