Celebration Evening 2026
On Tuesday 14th July, we were delighted to welcome students, families and staff to our annual Celebration Evening. It is an occasion dedicated to recognising the outstanding achievements, commitment and character of our young people.
The evening celebrated the many ways in which our students continue to thrive at KHSS. Through their hard work, creativity and determination, they have achieved success both inside and outside the classroom. Celebration Evening provides an opportunity to recognise these accomplishments while inspiring every student to continue raising the BAR.
The evening began with our Faculty Heads presenting awards to students who had excelled in each subject, celebrating academic achievement, progress and dedication across the curriculum.
Following the subject awards, our Head Boy, Saad Hadj-Mohand, delivered an inspiring speech reflecting on his time at KHSS and the opportunities, friendships and sense of community that make our school such a special place.
The celebrations continued with our Pastoral Team presenting the Kings Heath Values Awards to students who consistently demonstrate our values of Belonging, Aspiration and Respect, recognising the positive contribution they make to our school community each day.
Special awards were then presented to students whose achievements stood out across the school. Mrs Macfarlane, Head of Creative Arts, presented the prestigious Colin Graham Award for the Arts, while Mr Dobbins awarded the Kam Uppal Award for Sportsmanship.
The evening concluded with the Headteacher's Awards, presented by Mrs Orton, celebrating students whose exceptional contributions and achievements have made a lasting impact on our school.
A sincere thank you to Mr Wheeler for organising another memorable Celebration Evening, and to all the families and staff who joined us to celebrate the success of our students.
Congratulations to every award recipient!
We are incredibly proud of all our students and look forward to seeing them continue to flourish in the years ahead.
